Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Working in collaboration with Dr. Anna Trzcieniecka, the NP will provide direct clinical care to patients and their families. The NP will work autonomously to diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases and perform procedures within the legislated scope of practice.

  • Hours: 3 days per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday)
  • Vacation: 3 weeks paid vacation

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or Masters of Science in Nursing from a recognized university
  • Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate
  • Registered Nurse in the Extended Class in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses
  • Have advanced knowledge and decision-making skills in assessment, diagnosis and health care management
  • Ability to complete accurate documentation of patient information and treatment within an EMR (Telus PSS currently in use)
  • Family practice, primary care or walk-in clinic experience preferred
