Role Profile
We are seeking a mid-level Weights Engineer to support aircraft mass properties and lead physical aircraft weighing's. This role supports the design, development, certification, production, and in-service activities of De Havilland portfolio of aircraft.
You will work hands-on in hangar and production environments, ensuring accurate aircraft weight and CG data to support design, performance, and certification. Working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment, the engineer will lead, or support engineering activity related to aircraft involved with air transport, firefighting, search and rescue.
Key Responsibilities

Perform and lead physical aircraft weighing, including equipment setup, leveling, and CG calculations.
Maintain accurate weight statements, estimates, and mass properties tracking.
Validate supplier and internal component weight data.
Support design teams with weight impact assessments and trade studies.
Prepare documentation for certification and customer delivery.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Flight Test teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

Skills & Experience

3–5 years' experience in aircraft mass properties or related analysis.
Hands-on experience with aircraft weighing and weighing equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and use mass properties tools.
Experience with CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or weight & balance software.
Familiarity with certification weigh-in procedures.
SAWE training or certification.
