Park Place Seniors Living owns and operates a network of seniors' care homes across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We are committed to providing exceptional care and service to our residents and their families.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Controllers, this role plays a key part in supporting our finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices and payments accurately and efficiently
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or overdue accounts
  • Prepare and issue monthly rent invoices; apply and track incoming payments
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support banking functions in collaboration with site administrators
  • Maintain and organize financial filing systems
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and other administrative duties as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience with both accounts payable and receivable
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in property management, real estate development, or healthcare services is an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems is preferred

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including site teams and senior management
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, auditors, and health authority contacts
  • Remain composed under pressure and consistently meet deadlines

Location: South Vancouver (Head Office)
Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried, $50,000 to $55,000
Benefits: Comprehensive health benefits package
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm
