Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be an essential member of our disability support team, responsible for delivering high-quality care. Your core skills in nursing, medication administration, and diabetic care will be vital in supporting individuals' health and well-being. Strong communication skills and timely documentation will enhance your ability to provide compassionate care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all individuals in the group home. This is a one on one LPN Position, working exclusively with a specific client in their home and in the community.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse- Alberta or Saskatchewan licensed
  • Valid Standard/ Intermediate First Aid & CPR certificate required
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a reliable vehicle is a must

  • 12 hour shifts including alternating weekends

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Personal care responsibilities
  • Diabetic Care experience preferred
  • Behavior Management experience
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administration, documentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge or experience with diabetic care: including diet, counting carbs, and sliding scale of insulin administration
  • Ability to mentor, role model, and teach life skills
  • Ability to research, plan, and attend activities with the individual
  • Good organization & time management skills
  • Experience working with various communication styles and abilities is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.24 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
