Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to meet specifications and deadlines while maintaining safety standards. A strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools and power tools is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to determine project requirements
  • Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition
  • Utilize rigging techniques to access hard-to-reach areas safely
  • Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to time management practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
  • Maintain a clean work environment and follow all safety protocols during operations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
  • Knowledge of construction processes including carpentry and rigging techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, and surface preparation methods
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
  • Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
  • Prior experience in restoration projects is a plus
  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required
