Operations Support Worker

Stepping Stones Crisis Society is seeking a full-time Operations Support Worker to join our team in Cold Lake. This Monday–Friday role (with occasional evenings or weekends) offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
The Operations Support Worker plays a key role in the day-to-day functioning of the shelter. Responsibilities are diverse and may include client support, reception duties, housekeeping, meal preparation, childcare activities, and support for community programming. Daily tasks are guided by the needs of the shelter, requiring adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and provide front-line support as needed
- Perform reception duties, including answering phones and greeting visitors
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Assist with meal preparation and kitchen tasks
- Support children's programs and activities
- Assist with community programs and events
- Complete general administrative and organizational tasks
- Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth daily operations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in social services, childcare, or community programs is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and client-focused approach
- Flexible and able to adapt as priorities change
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract
