What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting you will report to the Director, Regulatory Reporting. You'll possesses a deep understanding of mutual fund regulatory requirements and processes related to point of sale and continuous disclosure and will manage the development and delivery of regulatory deliverables. You'll lead the preparation, filing, and production of all NI 81-101, NI and NI materials for the CIBC Global Asset Management (GAM) mutual funds and ETFs, including prospectuses, fund facts/ETF facts, financial statements and management reports of fund performance, as well as other regulatory deliverables.

This role involves uncontrollable deadlines and may require extended work hours to meet regulatory deadlines.

How You'll Succeed

  • Project Management - Overall responsibility for the development, production, and delivery of Regulatory projects, including application of regulatory and compliance standards, project timelines, stakeholder signoff, and managing and tracking program costs. Collaborate with partners to ensure timely, accurate and efficient delivery of projects. Adhere to legal/regulatory requirements to manage risk, while maintaining a focus on the client experience.
  • Leadership - Demonstrate leadership in words and actions. Lead and guide junior team members in the delivery of point of sale and continuous disclosure documents, setting context to provide understanding of how we contribute to the LOB's and CIBC's goals. Look for, and provide, opportunities to junior members for development and succession planning.
  • Relationship Management - Manage partner relationships that are key to the success of the team. Collaborate with Product, Legal, Fund Valuations, Compliance, Total Investment Solutions, Taxation, Client Services and the Management Team to promote engagement in the review and approval of regulatory materials.
  • Operational Efficiency - focus on the operational efficiency of the team's and vendor's processes, including procedural improvements, leveraging digital and automation opportunities, and implementing any changes to operational efficiency with clear communications and training to the Regulatory team, partners, and vendors.
  • Independent Review Committee - assist the Director, Regulatory Reporting, in performing their duties as the Secretary of CIBC's Independent Review Committee (IRC). Activities may include but are not limited to preparation of meeting materials, meeting logistics, drafting meeting minutes, and communications with the IRC.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in the preparation, production, and filing of NI 81-101, NI and NI materials.
  • You have extensive experience with prospectuses, fund/ETF facts, offering memorandums, financial statements, management reports of fund performance, quarterly portfolio disclosure.
  • It's an asset if you have completed, or are in the process of completing, your Canadian Securities Course.
  • You can demonstrate experience in advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
