Fitter/Fabricator

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of various processing equipment, both in-house and on-site. This role requires strong fitting and welding skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and install various processing equipment in-house and on-site
• Accurately verify dimensions using precision measuring tools
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Fit and weld miscellaneous fabrications
• Perform layout, positioning, and securing of parts and assemblies according to specifications
• Conduct on-site measuring and installation as required
• Work safely at heights when needed
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Operate equipment safely and follow safe work procedures
• Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety rules and procedures
• Occasionally travel to job sites within the Guelph area

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Strong fitting and welding knowledge (mandatory)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of fitting experience (required)
• CWB Certification (preferred)
