Designs, develops, and tests electrical and/or electronic equipment, components, circuits, or systems. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. Requires a bachelor's Degree in electrical and/or electronic engineering. Typically reports to a manager.Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
Nationality Requirements
Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develops solutions and solves more complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget directly impacting positive project outcomes for a variety of circumstances.
Writes reports and presents work carried out at peer and design reviews.
Develops processes for team and influences decisions by providing technical advice to team(s).
Remains current on trends and emerging technologies and tools.
May provide train, coach and advise more junior team members.
May estimate engineering packages of work to identify dependencies and ensure the deliverability of assigned work packages.
Technical Skills:
Analog and digital design experience
Digital Signal Processing applications experience
Printed Circuit Board layout and proficiency with ECAD tools
Field Programmable Gate Array design
Familiarity with engineering tools such as DOORS, UML, ERP, ECAD and Configuration Management systems
Proficient in standard Office tools
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Strong knowledge of Electrical/Electronics design principles, ideally in complex or regulated sectors
Eligible for Canadian government security clearance
May be required to maintain security clearance
