Position Title: Summer Student, Legal

Term Length: Summer 2026 (May – August)

Work Model: Hybrid 4 days in office per week

The Summer Student will support the Legal, Compliance & Sustainability Team and gain practical, hands-on experience in the legal environment of a fast-paced real estate company. The team supports commercial leasing, real estate transactions, legal operations, compliance, and sustainability initiatives. The student will assist with a variety of matters, including commercial leases, real estate transactions, contract drafting and review, litigation support, and compliance and sustainability projects.

During the summer, you will have the opportunity to work and communicate with people across all levels of the organization, while expanding your business network, perform amongst a variety of teams and develop new skillsets and sources of knowledge, and learn and grow as you demonstrate leadership and make connections across our group of companies

• Project work related to business objectives
• Exposure to commercial lease negotiations and drafting
• Assist with real estate transactions
• Analyze and respond to tenant disputes
• Conduct legal research
• Review internal policies and develop compliance training programs (ex. competition law, harassment and discrimination)
• Review existing signed documentation and provide legal analysis and interpretation

• Enrolled as a law student at an accredited Canadian Law School
• Proof of good academic performance
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously
• Willingness to learn
• Interest in the commercial leasing and real estate industry
