Shop Foreman

We are searching for a humbly confident motivated Shop Foreman to join our team in the building of quality agriculture/oilfield equipment, shelters, panels, loading chutes and barns. The site is located 45 minutes outside of Lloydminster, in the Dewberry/Heinsburg area.

Position: Full-time permanent Compensation: $28/hr – $34/hr starting wage depending on qualifications

Benefits: Health benefits after 3 months

Vacation: 3 weeks

Monday – Thursday 7:45 am to 5:00 pm. Friday 7:45 am to 3:00 pm

Responsibilities include:

  1. Oversee processes and workflow ensuring eAicient production, quality control, and adherence to budgets and deadlines, while also managing and motivating the production team.

  2. Manage inventory and ensure adequate resources (materials, labor, equipment) are available to meet production needs.

  3. Provide pricing, reports, quotes and management of product delivery in and out of site.

  4. Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet specifications.

  5. Manage, lead, motivate, and supervise production staA to achieve goals.

  6. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase eAiciency and reduce costs.

  8. Organize and communicate effectively with other departments, sales, dispatch and office for a smooth workflow.

  9. Maintain safety protocols and safety meetings for laborers in the shop.

Qualifications:

A. Previous management experience with a get it done, positive, and respectful attitude.

B. Blend of technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills, including strong leadership, professionalism, problem solving, communication, and organizational abilities, to ensure eAicient and eAective production processes.

C. Honesty and integrity, adaptability, willingness to learn and seek understanding.

D. Clean drivers abstract with reliable vehicle.

E. Computer literate.

F. Previous experience in welding, reading blueprints, design, operating equipment or carpentry would be an asset.
