Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a Groundman. This role involves the clearing of trees from powerlines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in rigging and operating bucket trucks, with experience in powerline tree trimming. This is a year-round, fulltime-permanent, position.

Duties

• Operate bucket trucks and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to perform maintenance tasks.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning.
• Perform rigging operations for the installation or removal of large landscape features or equipment.
• Maintain safety standards during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and landscape areas to identify issues or hazards.

Experience

• Proven experience with rigging techniques and safety procedures.
• Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment.
• Knowledge of tree trimming practices would be preferred, however candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn will be considered.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to equipment operation and landscaping activities. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work, with skills in rigging, bucket operation, and landscape care. Candidates should be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and environmental sustainability while contributing positively to our team's success.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical/drug screen
• Standard First Aid
• Chainsaw Safety (2 day course)
• Fall Arrest / Fall Protection
• Ability to work at heights (60–100+ ft) and lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
• Must be local to Woodstock, Florenceville or Gagetown New Brunswick
