Overview:

The Specialist, Investment Finance NAV Quality Control will assist in the accuracy of the NAV to address and prevent anomalies that were overlooked during normal business hours and report on the NAV accuracy.

Daily you will review transactions and positions and complete reconciliations across our client's entire portfolio. You will ensure the accuracy of the Net Asset Value (NAV) by working to address and prevent anomalies that were overlooked during the normal business hours and report on NAV accuracy.

As the successful Specialist, IFNQC, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Subject matter expert on the NAV processes, including resolution of complex NAV issues and ensuring that the daily NAV is correct and free of any material errors, as per the Pre NAV validation correction guideline, and report on the NAV accuracy.
  • Completing daily reconciliations to substantiate the completeness and accuracy of the NAV and responding to related accounting/audit queries as they arise.
  • Collaborating with Finance/Operations teams to identify the root cause of NAV errors and provide accounting guidance on implementing preventative measures.
  • Continuously enhancing, automating, and expanding the Pre-NAV Validation process using various platforms including SimCorp Dimension (SCD), SQL/Snowflake, and Power BI dashboards
  • Providing support and leading cooperative efforts, including, but not limited to NAV error resolution and prevention efforts. Signing off on daily accounting exception management.
  • Contributing to the development of test cases, validating system enhancements and participating in assigned change management activities.
  • Assisting management to improve processes, documentation, and reliability and perform other such tasks as required by the Investment Finance department.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience working with SimCorp Dimension in an accounting or technical capacity within complex portfolio structures and large data sets.
  • 5+ years experience in accounting configuration or system transformation initiatives involving SimCorp Dimension.
  • 5+ years experience performing reconciliations between legacy and new accounting systems, including data migration validation.
  • 3+ years experience diagnosing and resolving complex NAV issues across accounting, operations, and investment data.
  • Strong data analytics and technical skills using tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Power Query, Python, or similar.
  • 5+ years experience with capital markets products, including derivatives and structured instruments.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and PS 3450 – Financial Instruments.
  • Experience supporting audit and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., CSAE 3416).
