Owned and operated by Century Group, Coast Tsawwassen Inn is a premium, all-suite hotel, offering 90 comfortable and spacious guest rooms, banquet and event spaces, and fitness room. , Recently modernized,  Coast Tsawwassen Inn is designed to enhance guest stays, upgrade the quality of business meetings, and authentically connect with the Tsawwassen community — truly reflecting our commitment to 'Refreshingly Local'.Consistently rated #1 in guest satisfaction and rated one of the finest hotels available within Coast Hotels.Role Summary Reporting to the Catering & Convention Manager, the Banquet Server is responsible for providing superior customer service and upholding Coast Hotel's quality standards in the hotels food and beverage department. Key AccountabilitiesActs as an Ambassador for Coast including greeting guests, making them feel welcome, and handling basic enquiriesServices hotel catering events and provides customer service through the completion of routine duties and tasks, and by following the close instructions of the Banquet Event OrderResponsible for the set-up of function rooms as laid out in the detailed Banquet Event OrderResponsible for the tear down and clean-up of all function roomsServices the hotel breakfast bar including, set up, maintaining, breakdown and clean up when requiredAdheres to quality and industry standards when completing tasks Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels to support the operation throughout the dayPrepares, stocks, and sets up/puts out food and beveragesMaintains function and meeting rooms, breakfast area, common areas by vacuuming, removing trash, clearing, cleaning and sanitizing table, kitchen surfaces, storage areas, equipment, staff roomChecks on guest satisfaction and follows up on requests where possible and appropriate Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal and external contactsEnsures the safety and security of the property, the Ambassadors and guests when completing tasksOther duties as requiredEducation and ExperienceServing it Right certificate is requiredHepatitis A vaccination is mandatoryPrevious banquet experience is an assetSkills and AbilitiesMust be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs (need to be able to move chairs and tables)Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidaysExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional appearance and attitudeAbility to work as part of a team and independently Coast Hotels offers a variety of benefits, including competitive wages, flexible work schedules, hotel discounts, staff meals, training & development, career advancement opportunities & moreCTI1
