Education And Experience »

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred Work Experience (years): 2-5 years' work experience.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities »

  • Moderate understanding of the electrical and electro-mechanical engineering discipline.
  • High level of knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design practices.

What You'll Do
Job Responsibilities:

  • Follows standard practices and procedures to learn about components, subassemblies and processes used in the design of products.
  • Reviews design approaches and works with senior Component Engineers to determine if components meet or exceed required product specifications and tolerances.
  • Under the guidance of Senior Component Engineers, analyzes component suppliers to ensure quality of component parts as well as supplier viability.
  • Documents selection of components/subassemblies to deliver required performance and compliance specifications.
  • May interact with other engineering disciplines to define component requirements and/or modify component selections.
  • Works under guidance of Sr Component Engineers to analyze designs to learn about optimal selection of components and/or subassemblies under the direction of more experienced engineers.
  • Read design plans, tolerances, and specifications for products and machinery.
  • Observes and follows standard practice in recommending suppliers, methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to the manager.
