Responsibilities

  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare T1, T2, and T3 tax returns.
  • Project Tracking: Maintain reports to track tax-related projects effectively.
  • Documentation Management: Organize and ensure accuracy of tax-related files and supporting documentation.
  • Government Communication: Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and provincial governments on tax matters.
  • Government Filings: Prepare and manage government remittances, including payroll and HST/GST filings.
  • Research and Reporting: Assist with tax research, revising memos, and preparing reports.
  • Administrative Support: Provide support to senior tax and finance professionals.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in a public accounting firm

1+ years of tax experience, including familiarity with income tax forms (T1, T2, T3)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French proficiency is a plus)

Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
