Summary

As a Functional Analyst at Deloitte, you will play a key role in understanding business needs and translating them into effective technical solutions. Offered as a 1-year fixed term employment opportunity, you will collaborate with users, developers, and product teams in an Agile environment to ensure requirements are well-defined, documented, and validated throughout the project lifecycle.

What will your typical day look like?
  • Collect user needs and develop detailed requirements to inform analysis and solution design.
  • Support users in understanding and validating business requirements.
  • Write clear and comprehensive functional specifications and/or user stories in alignment with architectural frameworks.
  • Contribute to the evolution and documentation of functional architecture.
  • Participate in Agile sprints by supporting developers and validating user stories.
  • Assist in the creation of prototypes to define and enhance customer experience.
  • Create, document, and execute functional test scenarios; validate test results.
  • Participate in integrated testing and prepare relevant test data.
  • Provide post-implementation support and assist users during acceptance testing.

Deliverables:

  • Summary functional analyses and impact analyses.
  • Documentation of functional requirements and files.
  • Documentation of functional testing strategies and scenarios.
  • Prototypes (proofs of concept) as needed.
  • End-of-intervention assessment, including observations, solutions, lessons learned, and recommendations.
  • Other deliverables as required by the project

You are someone with:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a functional analyst within the last 5 years.
  • Demonstrated project experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or a relevant discipline recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (or equivalent as per government standards).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting users and teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Note: Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
