Glazier Medical Centre is a busy, patient-focused medical clinic in Oshawa. We are seeking a full-time EMR / IT Administrative Coordinator to support our electronic medical records (EMR), clinical systems, and technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support for EMR and clinical applications (e.g. TELUS Practice Solutions, OceanMD, SRFax)
  • Optimize EMR workflows, create custom forms, dashboards, and reports
  • Support EMR upgrades, testing, training, and go-live activities
  • Provide real-time IT support to staff (phone, remote, and in-person) in collaboration with external IT consultants
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other clinic hardware
  • Support Microsoft Office, email, VoIP phone systems (Aviya), and other clinic technologies
  • Coordinate with vendors and escalate technical issues as needed
  • Ensure patient data accuracy, security, and privacy compliance (PHIPA)

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Health Informatics, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years' experience supporting EMR or IT systems in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare technology
  • Experience with computer hardware, software upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • EMR experience (TELUS PS, Epic, OceanMD, or similar) preferred
  • PHIPA knowledge an asset

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Available for occasional after-hours support as required
