We're Hiring
We are currently looking to fill a
full-time, permanent position
for a
Grower Liaison
in our Procurement
Department
at our
Leamington
office
What You'll Do:
- First point of contact to our local growers – developing and fostering a strong, positive and professional relationship of trust.
- Routine grower visits to our local grower facilities and company warehouses and greenhouses.
- Develop and maintain a grower database with all related information for current and historical purposes.
- Provide ongoing consultation and oversite on best practices in harvest projections and execution and quality assurance from field to packaging.
- Develop and execute a system that will provide daily feedback to individual growers on crop and product quality and methods to increase quality.
- Provide the Procurement and Commodity teams with timely, detailed and accurate harvest projections that include information related to varieties, volume, quality and timing.
- Plan accordingly and ensure growers are achieving and meeting their agreed weekly volumes.
- Attend planning and other various meetings in relation to procurement/growing.
- Assist procurement team with intown purchases and sales orders from local Growers.
- Ensure grower estimates and purchase orders are accurately entered in our systems.
- Support the Procurement team with general tasks and duties.
- Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

What You Bring:
- Previous experience in grower relations and/or produce management experience considered an asset.
- Knowledge of tomato, cucumber, and pepper production/growing considered an asset.
- Must have skill in developing strong, credible relationships with a variety of people that have varying backgrounds/personalities.
- Exceptional communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
- Very high degree of confidentiality and integrity required regarding all aspects of the business.
- Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.
- Strong computer skills, limited to MS Office.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines within in a fast-paced environment.
- Displays strong initiative and able to work independently with little direction, within a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a high level of dedication.
- Strong customer service orientation with ability to handle customer service situations calmly and professionally.
- Must be hands-on and process oriented, always looking to improve processes.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and extended hours if needed.
- Available to answer emails and calls in the evenings and on weekends if necessary.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company and growers.
- Spanish considered an asset.
What To Expect:
- Office setting with warehouse/greenhouse visits as needed.
- Full time hours Monday to Friday with availability to work flexible hours including weekends and extended hours if needed.
