Julie Charbonneau Design is a full-service Interior Design Firm located in the heart of Toronto and we are looking for Senior AutoCAD Technician to join our team of highly creative and experienced professionals.

Principal duties and responsibilities

  • Develop high quality drawings from concept to final design in AutoCAD (plans, elevations, millwork drawings, tender packages etc.)
  • Perform and produce architectural drawings (residential and commercial) in classic cabinetry and construction details using AutoCAD

· Strong understanding of Building Code regulation standards

  • Support Senior Designer with project documentation
  • Develop preliminary plans according to designs established by principal designer
  • Preparation of drawing packages including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, millwork section and details which comply with building code requirements
  • Manage and follow-through on projects from start to finish including integration of interior design services into architectural design process
  • Conscientious with attention to details and prominent level of accuracy
  • Detail various custom built-in cabinetries, furniture, millwork and woodwork
  • Able to work independently or seamlessly as part of a team

Salary:

  • Based on experience (Paid Bi-weekly)

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of interior design experience in Luxury Residence Design
  • Advanced knowledge on classic style cabinetry
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Knowledge of interior design principles and practices, codes and standards, finish and material science, specifications and interior construction techniques

Work Samples:

  • Portfolio; Technical drawing sample

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or in Architecture or a 3-year college diploma in Interior Design from CIDA accredited Program
