Journeyperson B-Pressure Welder

POSITION SUMMARY
Journeyperson B-Pressure Welders work in shop fabrication and module-based setting on projects that include joining components such as beams, girders, vessels, and piping and ensure all jobs are completed as per welding procedure specifications, weld maps, and work packages. Our welders take pride in their trade and see that Strike's high standards of safety and quality are always met.

PROJECT DETAILS
- Project starts in July
- 2-3 month project duration
- Work is local to the Cold Lake/Bonnyville area
- Preference will be given to local candidates
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work with non-destructive Testing Inspector
- Welding of pipe spools with an emphasis on Safety, Quality and Production while working in accordance with client specifications and Strike's weld procedures
- Multiple Welding Process'
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
- Interpret Acorn drawings
Education
- Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority
- Must possess an ABSA Grade 'B' Pressure Welder certificate
Training
- Must have valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, and EWP tickets
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Able to interpret Acorn drawings
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors
