Landscaper / Groundskeeper Crew Lead

Department: Property Operations

Schedule: As operations require, including weekends and statutory holidays

About the Role

As the Landscaper and Groundskeeper Crew Lead at Pacific Sands, you'll help shape the first impression of our oceanfront resort. You'll take pride in maintaining beautiful, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces while leading a small, dedicated team. From seasonal landscaping to creative displays, your work keeps our property looking its best all year round.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver 5-star service and represent the resort with professionalism and care

  • Lead, train, and support the groundskeeping team in daily operations

  • Plan and manage seasonal property care, including winterizing and spring prep

  • Maintain lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor areas (mowing, pruning, mulching, trimming, fertilizing, etc.)

  • Keep signage, parking areas, pathways, and public spaces clean and well-presented

  • Manage materials, inventory, and vendor relations for landscaping and seasonal displays (e.g., hanging baskets, Christmas décor, etc.)

  • Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as light installation and general upkeep

  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in safe and organized condition

  • Communicate with other departments about projects or events that may impact guests

  • Suggest improvements to enhance property design and guest appeal

  • Follow all resort safety procedures and emergency guidelines

  • Support additional property operations projects as needed

What We're Looking For
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Hands-on experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping (education or certification an asset)

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work effectively

  • Organized, reliable, and attentive to detail

  • Comfortable leading small teams and providing feedback

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and be on your feet for long periods
