- Prepare and deliver news bulletins on air, province-wide, as required.
- Work under the direction of a producer, while demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
- Coordinate the activities of other staff members as needed; close collaboration with other journalists is essential.
Key tasks:
- Quickly write breaking news stories for digital platforms.

- Critically review content and elements produced by others.
- Write, edit, assemble, and publish digital content clearly and concisely for a national audience.

- Gather information from diverse sources and report on it.
- Rewrite content as needed to best suit platform-specific formats.
- Ensure all text complies with standard grammar rules and Radio-Canada Windsor style, including proper spelling and capitalization.
- Prepare and write articles and headlines based on information provided by reporters, news wires, CBC, or original sources.
- Use content from other SRC/CBC platforms for digital services by writing and formatting stories with compelling headlines, photos, videos, audio content, and illustrations, using the latest audience data and metrics and drawing from multiple sources, including Matins sans frontières; curate reports prepared by Radio-Canada reporters in Windsor, across Ontario, and elsewhere on local, regional, national, and international issues.
- Occasionally produce reports, interviews, or simulated live segments for radio.
- Edit program-related texts, including enhanced segments for audio feeds, as required by the station.
- Substitute for other Windsor team members as needed (e.g., reporter-editor, newsreader-editor, associate producer).
- Perform any other related duties.
