Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating hardware products and tools.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of various hardware items.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs, upselling where appropriate.
  • Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
  • Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising strategies.
  • Assist with cashiering duties, including processing returns and exchanges with proper phone etiquette.
  • Support the team with basic retail math calculations for sales and inventory management.
  • Engage in customer service activities to foster loyalty and ensure satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties such as cleaning displays, assisting with product demos, and supporting team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in hardware or grocery store environments.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a retail setting and providing outstanding customer service while promoting hardware products effectively.
