Duties
- Assess patients' physical conditions and develop comprehensive care plans based on their specific needs and goals.
- Implement physiotherapy treatments, including trigger-point therapy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialized techniques.
- Manage discharge planning and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and home & community care strategies.
- Document patient progress accurately using EMR systems and maintain detailed treatment records.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
- Eligible for independent practice in Alberta
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Professional and patient-centred approach
- Experience with WCB and MVA cases
- Experience or interest in women's health physiotherapy
Job Type: Full-time
