Position Summary:

Marble Mountain Development Corporation is seeking a versatile individual to join our team as a Rental Shop Attendant Tech I. As a Rental Shop Attendant Tech I, you will play a vital role in the success of Marble Mountain resort by explaining rental equipment operation to guests, ensuring equipment readiness, and delivering excellent customer service.

Duties:

● Explain rental equipment operation, safety practices, and guest responsibilities.

● Ensure equipment on the rental "ready" line is clean, serviced, and tested according to company standards.

● Follow company standards for paperwork, cash management, and loss prevention.

● Provide enthusiastic and professional guest service at all times.

● Adhere to all safety procedures.

● Assist in daily setup and tear down of rental shop areas.

● Exceed guests' expectations and create memorable mountain experiences.

● Advise, sell, and facilitate Marble Mountain Resort products and services.

● Accept payment through various methods and complete transactions.

● Assist guests with selecting appropriate equipment.

● Support Lead Technician as needed.

● Perform end-of-day processes, including balancing sales, cash reports, and deposits.

● Advise guests on resort activities and area attractions.

● Collaborate with other departments to serve guest needs.

● Maintain organization and cleanliness in the rental shop.

Qualifications:

● Previous retail/rental experience preferred.

● Passion for skiing/snowboarding.

● Working knowledge of products and trends within the industry.

● Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

● Fluent communication in English (spoken and written).

● Basic computer skills.

● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

● Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

● Adaptable to changing priorities and work schedules, including weekends.

● Knowledge of Marble Mountain Resort products and facilities.

● Detailed knowledge of lifts, terrain, trails, and runs at Marble Mountain Resort.

● Familiarity with the alpine ski industry and local tourism activities.

● Experience with a computerized point of sale system.

● Problem-solving, organization, and motivation skills.

● Hospitality industry experience desired.

● High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree or certification preferred.

Reports to: Director of Snowsports Operations & Rental Shop Lead.

Wage: To be determined as per the MMDC collective agreement.
