Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electromechanical systems to ensure optimal operation of production equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience in industrial maintenance and customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems, including PLCs, HVAC, boilers, and welding equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues effectively
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and documentation
- Conduct analysis of equipment performance to identify root causes of failures and implement solutions
- Maintain low voltage electrical systems and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in installation, calibration, and testing of new machinery or upgrades
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve system reliability
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions
Skills
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks, electrical troubleshooting, and low voltage systems
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial maintenance, HVAC systems, boilers, welding, and general machinery repair
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical and electrical issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality assurance
- Good communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments is preferred but not required; relevant technical training or certifications are advantageous
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Industrial maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
Work Location: In person
