Summary:
A food manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. This role is vital in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and supporting their clients' logistical needs. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in managing warehouse activities and ensuring smooth distribution processes aligned with their company's mission of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts; perform daily safety checks
- Inventory Control: Maintain records, conduct cycle counts, handle vendor returns, report shortages
- Receiving & Shipping: Load/unload trucks, prepare orders, manage refrigerated/freezer storage, assist driver.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Keep warehouse clean, follow safety protocols, support waste disposal
- Collaboration: Work with managers and other departments, communicate effectively, suggest process improvements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year operating forklifts/working in a warehouse.
- Ability to operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
- Current forklift certification.
- Strong English communication skills (reading and writing).
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to start promptly.
- Must have valid work authorization in Canada (visa sponsorship not available).
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 20-30Kg if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
Other duties assigned depending on various projects requirements.
