If so, Gordon Food Service could be the place for youWhat We Offer:Starting rate of $21.84/hourMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EFAP Benefits after 30 days of employmentFULL flex benefits programCompany matching RRSPProfit Sharing128 year, family owned and operated company historyPay for performance incentive program after 3 monthsLocal routes -> guaranteed to be home every dayFamily culture and advancement opportunitiesWhat We Require:Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstractPhysically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluencyPrevious professional driving experience is preferredAbility to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditionsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMust be goal oriented with a positive, "can do" attitudeThis position requires punctuality and attention to detailResponsibilities Include:Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationshipsManually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx cases/shift)Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routesConducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reportingPerforming product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoicesFollowing health and safety and safe work proceduresWe're a company with integrity at its core .
