Antique Granite is a leading granite and stone fabrication company dedicated to providing high-quality custom countertops and stone installations. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermac CNC Router Operator to join our production team in Edmonton.

The Role

The CNC Router Operator is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of our Intermac CNC Router to cut, shape, and finish granite, quartz, and other stone materials according to design specifications. This role is critical to maintaining our standards of precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and perform full cycle production runs on the Intermac CNC Router and associated equipment.

* Programming & Design: Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Adjust or modify CNC programs (including tool paths and offsets) to ensure accurate and efficient material fabrication.

* Material Handling: Safely load and unload stone slabs onto the machine bed using an overhead crane or other lifting equipment.

* Quality Control: Conduct in-process and final inspection of cut pieces (e.g., sink cutouts, edges, polishing) using precision measuring instruments (calipers, tape measure) to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards.

* Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting on the Intermac CNC machine and tooling to ensure peak operational performance.

* Safety & Efficiency: Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Skills

* Proven Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating a CNC Router in a stone, granite, or countertop fabrication environment is required.

* Intermac Specific: Direct, hands-on experience with Intermac CNC Routers (Master Series preferred) and their proprietary software is a strong asset.

* Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications.

* Problem-Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine errors and make on-the-fly adjustments to programs or offsets.

* Attention to Detail: Excellent precision and accuracy in measurements and quality inspection.

* Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical labour, including lifting and standing for extended periods, and work safely with stone materials.
