Who Are We Looking For?

We're seeking an individual with a passion for design, digital media, and copywriting to join our graphic design team responsible for making email, SMS, and ad creative for direct to consumer brands If this sounds like you, please attach your resume and portfolio that showcases your design and copywriting skills in the first line of your application/cover letter.

Only qualified candidates with an attached portfolio will be considered.

If your portfolio isn't up to date, don't worry — we value the quality of your work and your experience in the digital marketing space above all else. You don't need to create an elaborate portfolio; a simple PDF or a few examples that showcase your skills are perfectly fine.

This role includes a design assessment as part of the application process.

You'll be asked to complete a short mock email design — we'll provide all assets and direction. The assessment is purely for evaluation purposes. If you're not open to completing the assessment, please consider not applying.

THE ROLE

Collaborate with your marketing team to design effective email, SMS, and paid ad marketing campaigns for a wide range of E-commerce brands. As a Graphic Designer & Copywriter your role will involve:

Email Marketing

• Design on-brand email campaigns and flows using your preferred design software and Klayvio Email Builder
• Write engaging and creative email copy, subject lines, and preview text.

SMS Marketing

• Use creative and strategic copy to create SMS marketing campaigns.
• Design on-brand MMS graphics (image/gif) to pair with SMS copy using your preferred design software.

Ad Creative

• Work alongside media buyers and creative strategists to develop ad creative for paid advertising on platforms such as Meta.

Workflow & Responsibilities

• Conceptualize project briefs into effective creative content from copy to design.
• Provide input on creative direction, as well as efficient collaboration on revisions and project deliveries within a team setting.
• Participate and contribute in team meetings and group discussions (via Google Meet) video calls.
• Work remotely using organization and time management skills to manage your own schedule and stay on track with deliverables. Communication takes place in Slack and Asana.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years professional experience in Graphic Design, preferably in Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, or UX/UI Design.
• Experience using Klayvio.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Excellent understanding of typography, layout, and branding.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
• Basic understanding of UX/UI Design.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight throughout the creative process.
• Effective time management, cross-functioning, and multitasking skills.
• Versatile and able to conceptualize a brand's creative vision, language, and expectations.
• Preferred: Experience in an agency or other fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: Familiar with Slack and Asana.

$59,000 CAD - $90,000+ CAD (based on experience)
