Houseperson/Labourer
- Communicate with function coordinator for daily functions.
- Creating team schedules and delegating tasks to ensure proper workflow
- Delegate daily tasks to team and ensure team members meet deadlines for daily functions.
- Provide training for new staff
- Assessing employee performance and providing performance reviews to manager
- Weekly inspections
- Daily cleaning and function set ups
- Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
- Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
- · Setup of all function/meeting rooms according to the banquet event order and Club Standards. Including moving tables, chairs, podiums etc.
- Be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds
- Properly stock all convention equipment in appropriate stores as per Club standards
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
- Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 yrs experience as a supervisor
- Excellent communicator
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong time management
- Adaptability
- Self- motivated
- Proficient in oral and written English
Working Schedule
Monday – Friday 12:30pm- 8:30 (or when job required.occasional weekend work)
Compensation
- Salary: 21-23 p/hour
