About Us: We are a Calgary-based media agency producing high-impact corporate videos, commercials, podcasts, and social media content, with a focus on the blue-collar industries. We are seeking a versatile Audio and Video Recording Technician with strong motion graphics capabilities and a hands-on understanding of full-scope video production — from pre-production through post.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain professional video and audio equipment during on-site and studio shoots (corporate, commercial, podcast, and social media).

  • Set up and manage lighting, sound, and camera equipment, including cinema cameras, stabilizers, audio recorders, lav/boom mics, and studio lighting kits.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on recording equipment to ensure smooth operations.

  • Perform color grading and sound mixing (EQ, compression, audio repair) to ensure high production value.

  • Adapt content for multiple platforms (Reels, Shorts, TikTok), including captioning and optimized exports.

  • Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and execute branded content and data driven ad campaigns, especially within blue-collar industries.

  • Manage digital assets, shot lists, and project workflows in alignment with production timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Television Production, Film, or Media Studies (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in video production, editing, and motion graphics.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition), Logic Pro X, and AI-based creative tools.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics, corporate/commercial work, and industry-specific content.

  • Solid understanding of cinematography, lighting techniques, and visual storytelling.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet fast-paced production timelines.
