Responsibilities

  • Basic comprehension of drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
  • Some understanding of concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
  • Utilization of PERI, Aluma and EFCO formwork
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor's high standards for safety and quality

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Provincially recognized registered 2-4 Apprentice in Carpentry
  • Experience working on major infrastructure and bridge projects highly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract
  • CSTS-2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform (training provided)

Work Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
  • Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
