Atlas Scaffolding is a shoring, formwork and scaffold supply company located in Surrey, serving BC's construction, and building industry since 1996.

We are currently seeking a full-time yard worker. The yard worker is responsible for the stacking and retrieving of gear/equipment in the yard. This is a physical role that requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting to 50 pounds or more and working indoors/outdoors year-round. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge of the trades while furthering a successful career through teamwork and problem solving.

Job requirements:

  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Be a quick learner and able to take directions from others.
  • Able to communicate efficiently both written and verbal English.
  • Able to lift 50lbs (20 – 30lbs consistently).
  • Able to work outdoors in ALL WEATHER as well as the shop.
  • Be willing to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
  • Must have steel toed boots.

Job Duties:

  • Stacking, organizing and accurately count shoring/scaffold equipment.
  • Cleaning, housekeeping, and yard maintenance.
  • Inspect gear prior to and after leaving the job site and document damages.
  • Follow department procedures and guidelines.
  • Meet strict deadlines where needed.
  • Use the forklift to move equipment.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the construction industry
  • Class 5 Drivers license with clean abstract - Preferred
  • Shoring/formwork equipment knowledge (an asset)
  • Forklift certification (an asset)

Hours:

· Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (overtime opportunity available)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
