REPORTS TO: Project Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, DBA
Position Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for completing tasks in a timely and effective manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to:
Must be able to obey and following applicable traffic lawsSecures cargo and properly arranges and balances it within the vehicleMaintains a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulationsEnsures any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before drivingComplies with truck driving rules and regulationsReports defects, accidents and violationsPerforms daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reportsRecords cargo deliveriesAssists co-workers with construction projects as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge preferred of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction workKnowledge preferred of first aid and applicable safety precautions Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse outdoor field conditions Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all staff levelsAbility to use equipment and hand tools properly and safely Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructionsAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyMust be 21 years of age or olderValid Drivers LicenseClean Driving RecordMust pass a drug screen/physicalMinimum of one years experience driving at a construction siteWork Context

Individuals must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of workday and capability to move within the field. Any person in this position needs the ability to operate any field equipment used within the Construction Industry. There is a requirement to traverse multiple terrain types in outdoor weather conditions along with the ability to position self in a stoop, kneel, or crouch position.
