What you will do:
Perform and coordinate calibration activities to ensure all mechanical and electrical gauges and equipment are functioning to specified requirements.
Perform calibration of internal gauges and coordinate external calibration of gauges and services.
Take appropriate action when out of calibration conditions are encountered
Ensure environmental conditions are suitable for the calibrations, inspections, measurements and tests being carried out.
Create and maintain calibration instructions and records.
Champion the Quality Assurance Lab Manual including lab scope and compliance to applicable standards.
Lead shop floor troubleshooting activities related to gauging, calibration and measurement methods/techniques.
What you will bring:
Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent with related inspection and test equipment calibration experience.
Possess mechanical aptitude with strong understanding of mechanical and electronics as they relate to inspection and test equipment.
Knowledge of ISO 17025 Laboratory Quality Systems Requirements as well as applicable ASTM, ANSI and CSA standards.
Able to operate CMM and related gauge masters for day-to-day calibration activities.
Working knowledge of core quality tools including PPAP, SPC, FMEA and MSA.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings including a strong understanding of GD&T.
Must be willing to work overtime; required to work different shifts, non-routine hours and travel between plants.
Experience working with torque transducers, load cells, air gauge columns.
Basic inspection and test equipment programming skills.
Additional Information:
Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 annually
