Our highly-regarded client runs a full service law firm in Toronto which is seeking a Commercial Litigation lawyer, an Insolvency Lawyer and a Senior Family Lawyer to join their legal team in one of Toronto or Midland, or Whitby, Ontario. The ideal candidates will have at least 5 - 8 years of related experience in private practice and will also have good business instincts, excellent drafting and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to handle files independently and as part of a team.
These are exceptional opportunities to be involved in:
- Managing a variety of complex commercial litigation files from start to finish
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other court materials.
- Conducting examinations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Appearing in contested matters in court.
- Collaborating with colleagues across related practice areas.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development.
OR
- Advising clients on all aspects of bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and creditor rights.
- Acting for a range of stakeholders, including lenders, trustees, receivers, and debtors.
- Handling files involving bankruptcies, receiverships, proposals, CCAA restructurings, and enforcement matters.
- Managing debt recovery and collection matters for financial institutions and other creditors.
- Representing clients in court on motions, applications, and other proceedings.
- Negotiating and drafting a variety of insolvency-related agreements and court documents.
- Collaborating with colleagues in related practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions.
OR
- Managing and advancing a broad range of complex family law matters, including separation, divorce, custody, access, support, and property issues.
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing family law agreements and court materials.
- Representing clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
- Collaborating with other practice groups where multidisciplinary support is required.
- Maintaining and growing your existing client base within a supportive, well-resourced firm.
