Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient warehouse distribution, order picking, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, along with a solid understanding of warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values safety, mechanical knowledge, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from trucks, storage areas, and production lines
- Assist with order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and shipments
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating various types of forklifts such as clamp trucks and order pickers
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance
- Experience with warehouse distribution processes and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with order picking procedures in a warehouse setting
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior experience in warehouse environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
