As the first impression of our hotel, you'll play a key role in creating a positive and memorable guest experience. From check-in to check-out, you'll ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional hospitality. This is a full-time position (30+ hours per week) that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Greet, check-in, and check-out guests with professionalism and a smile
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with care and efficiency
  • Make and adjust reservations in our PMS system with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Use up-selling techniques to maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
  • Act as a team player, assisting coworkers and supporting other departments when needed
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety procedures, and front office SOPs
  • Be an ambassador for the community — providing local knowledge, directions, and recommendations to guests
What We're Looking For
  • Hospitality heart – friendly, professional, and guest-focused at all times
  • Education – High school diploma required; post-secondary or hospitality training is an asset
  • Experience – 1–2 years in hospitality preferred; experience with PMS/POS systems is an asset
  • Communication skills – Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong telephone and computer skills
  • Interpersonal skills – Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solution-focused
  • Team spirit – Able to balance individual tasks while contributing to a positive, supportive team environment
  • Community minded – Knowledge of the local area and enthusiasm for sharing it with guests
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Typically long periods of sitting, with some standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping
  • Occasionally lifting 5–10 lbs
  • Extended periods of computer use

  • Office setting with:

  • Low-to-medium noise levels

  • High traffic from internal and external guests
  • Exposure to office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, and telephones
  • Potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests
