Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Biomedical Technician to work on a casual subcontract basis. This role involves occasional assignments, including equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and related technical tasks. As a Biomedical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment. This is a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of medical devices and providing support to healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including equipment history and service reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address equipment-related issues and provide technical support.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical technology and attend training sessions as required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Biomedical Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage electronics, computer hardware, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of computer networking principles.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
