APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be enrolled in apprenticeship program for Collision Repair
- Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
- Previous collision technician experience is not required, but is a strong asset
- Must be reliable, dependable and show initiative
- Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized and capable of multitasking and prioritizing
- Physically capable (standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.)
- Reliable and shows initiative
- Must have a valid driver's license
MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review damage reports and estimates to plan repair work accordingly.
- Prep cars for paint
- Small dent repairs
- Light body work
- Changing bolt-on parts (i.e., fenders, bumpers, etc.)
- Assist in detail bays when necessary (prepping for delivery, polishing etc.)
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Possession of own tools (specialty tools provided by the shop as needed).
- Openness to learn new repair methods and operate new body repair equipment.
- Other duties as required
