The Audio Visual Technician will work under the general supervision of the Infrastructure Manager and is responsible for supporting Cisco Webex Cloud services. In this role, the technician ensures the health and reliability of AV systems, enables Microsoft Teams Room functionality, and provides hands‑on support through troubleshooting, deployment of Cisco video endpoints, coordination of cabling projects, and performance monitoring. By maintaining seamless collaboration across Seaspan's facilities, the Audio Visual Technician contributes to the efficiency and success of Seaspan's operations.

Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.

What you'll do

  • Audit meeting rooms on a daily / weekly schedule to validate AV system health, device connectivity, and compliance with collaboration standards. 
  • Troubleshoot live issues with users in meeting rooms, including audio/video failures, device connectivity, and Teams Room functionality. 
  • Deploy and maintain Cisco video endpoints including Room Kits, Codecs, and Boards, ensuring Teams interoperability and optimal room experience. 
  • Provide basic training or guidance to end users on Teams Room functionality and best practices. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of room configurations, device inventory, call routing policies, and troubleshooting procedures.  
  • Manage and support Cisco Webex Cloud services, ensuring all Room Kits are properly registered and maintained within the platform. 
  • Monitor Teams Room performance and call quality using Teams Admin Center and Pro Management Portal, responding proactively to anomalies. 
  • Coordinate structured cabling projects for video and audio deployments, including HDMI, CAT6, and fiber runs. 
  • Support the migration from Mital systems to Microsoft Teams, including planning, deployment, and user enablement. 
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for AV installations, maintenance, and support 
  • Generate reports on Teams Room usage, call quality, and AV system health to inform optimization efforts 
  • Track AV hardware inventory and manage lifecycle of Teams Room devices and Cisco endpoints. 
  • Participate in AV and collaboration-related projects, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities. 

What you'll bring

  • 2–3 years of experience supporting enterprise video conferencing systems and AV infrastructure in hybrid work environments. 
  • Proven ability to configure, monitor, and optimize Teams Rooms via the Teams Admin Center. 
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco video endpoint deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for AV and collaboration issues in dynamic, live meeting environments. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation such as room schematics, device inventories, and configuration records. 
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with IT, facilities, and end users. 
  • Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when needed. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and proactive mindset

The estimated salary for this position is $64,800 - $79,200. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
