Within the Public Service Delivery Department, the Contract Management Services is looking to fill a Procurement Analyst (term) position.

Duties:

The Procurement unit within Contract Management Services is primarily responsible for managing the delivery of Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS) IT projects across government. The Procurement Analyst assesses and manages procurement processes including vendor invoicing, analyzing resource and financial data. The incumbent meets with project managers, senior management from Procurement, DTS Finance and vendor partners as a key piece to manage these procurement processes. Some of the duties include: Administer various Procurement processes and analyzes resource and financial data, provides leadership and support to staff for all functions associated with the administration of procurement and makes recommendations to improve business process problems within procurement.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain or a related field, or completion of a professional procurement designation. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• Experience analyzing and defining business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process.
• Experience with data collection, management and analysis.
• Experience analyzing processes and identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills and critical thinking.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication skills including experience writing a variety of documents and reports for various audiences.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Effective time management and demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint) or similar software application
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Desired:

• Experience with SAP- creating Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions
