  • Design and evaluate tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and water management systems that prioritize safety and sustainability
  • Guide geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations to inform critical project decisions
  • Provide strategic input on permitting, environmental planning, and risk management frameworks
  • Mentor and inspire junior and intermediate engineers to grow their expertise
  • Oversee projects from concept through execution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Champion innovative waste management strategies and sustainable practices
  • Build strong client relationships and drive business development opportunities
  • Represent WSP in client engagements, regulatory discussions, and industry forums
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 10–15 years of experience in mine waste or geotechnical engineering
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
  • P.Eng. designation in Canada
  • Expertise in tailings dam design, closure planning, and risk-based decision-making
  • Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects
  • A passion for mentorship and advancing sustainable solutions

Compensation BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $135,200 – $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 – $169,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $122,100 – $162,200 Disclosure:
