Xcel Automation Ltd. is currently seeking Senior Control System Programmers to join our team. Specializing in oil & gas, solid wood, and water treatment industries, we provide Industrial Automation and SCADA solutions to Western Canada.

Ideal candidates will be responsible, motivated individuals that are excited to join an ever-growing, enthusiastic automation team that provides a full spectrum of automation knowledge within our group.

This position is a remote, site-based shift assignment focused on supporting and maintaining a variety of DCS and PLC systems across an operating facility.

Key Responsibilities / Systems:

  • Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for DCS and PLC Systems.
  • Work with site SCADA systems and field communications networks.
  • Ensure reliable operation of plant automation systems and process controls.
  • Support system updates and maintain accurate documentation through MOC processes.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience with DCS platforms.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Industrial SCADA environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in operational facilities.
  • Understanding of industrial networking and control system communications.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
