Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Support chefs and cooks with ingredient organization and storage
  • Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed throughout the kitchen
  • Help with dishwashing and waste disposal to keep the kitchen tidy
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries in the kitchen environment

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (food handler certification is a plus)
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities in a busy kitchen setting
  • Prior experience in a culinary environment is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
