Job Title: Embroidery Machine Operator
Job Location: North York, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (Morning and Night Shifts Available)
Shifts Available:
- Morning Shift: 7:50 AM 4:30 PM
- Night Shift: 4:20 PM 1:00 AM
Starting Pay:
- Morning Shift: $19.50/hour
- Night Shift: $20.00/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embroidery Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Tajima embroidery machines to complete high-quality embroidery projects. This includes understanding project specifications, setting up the machine and materials, and ensuring smooth operation throughout the embroidery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand project specifications, including garment/letter/number requirements, before beginning each embroidery job.
- Set up embroidery Tajima machines, ensuring proper loading of garments, letters, numbers, and correct alignments.
- Select appropriate thread, fabric, hoops, and designs based on the specifications of each project.
- Operate and supervise the embroidery process to ensure that each project is completed with the highest quality standards.
- Read and interpret instructional manuals to facilitate troubleshooting and machine repairs when necessary.
- Perform regular machine inspections, ensuring optimal performance and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining precision and quality.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience operating embroidery machines (required).
- Proficiency in operating Tajima embroidery machines is highly preferred.
- Must be able to understand and speak English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project specifications closely.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
