RAPS is Seeking a Temporary Support worker to assist an individual with Autism (E18)

Location Sherwood Park

Days/Hours: Monday to Friday

_ 12:00pm-5:00pm _

Temporary December 20th to 31st. Has the potential for extension.

Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to:


• Assis with personal business activities including cooking, packaging, labelling, and communication


• Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining an organized living space


• Provide medication reminders


• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings


• Support independent living skills development


• Offer companionship and social engagement


• Assist with meal planning and cooking


• Facilitate community engagement and social activities


• Provide planning and executive function support

Qualifications: the successful candidate must have an updated criminal record check containing the Vulnerable sector check portion, a class 5 driver's license and vehicle with a clean drivers abstract for client transportation. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is considered an asset.

  • The ideal candidate will have a love of animals and video games and an understanding of sensory sensitivities and coping strategies

Rate of Pay: $22.00 hour
