About the Opportunity
Tomahawk Industries Ltd. is currently seeking Mechanics/Technicians, Automotive HVAC & Fire Suppression based in Edmonton, Alberta.
This role is perfectly suited to a hard-working mechanic and automotive technician who is looking for the autonomy and freedom to operate a fully-equipped service truck.
This isn't just another job, it's a rewarding career opportunity for someone capable of managing a field service truck - but with the full support of an established company.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out skilled work, including:
- Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining A/C and fire suppression
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical troubles
- Safety assessments, invoicing & parts management
- Keeping detailed log book for tasks
- Maintaining parts inventory in truck
- Ensuring all safety tickets are up-to-date
- Must be willing to travel, including overnight stays at work sites
About You
To qualify as a Mechanic/Technician, you must have certification, experience in a similar role, as well as a Canadian Driver's License.
You must also have strong mechanical knowledge and experience handling tools for repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting in any of the following:
- Commercial HVAC
- Small engines
- Heavy equipment
- Mining equipment
- Fire Suppression
- Practical automotive HVAC (asset)
As a Mechanic/Technician, candidates possessing an auto mechanic, HVAC and/or A/C, and fire suppression journeyperson tickets are preferred, but not required.
Whether you're an experienced Automotive/Heavy Duty Mechanic or HVAC Technician, we will provide all the relevant training needed to see you succeed in this role.
After all the relevant training, successful candidates must also have excellent mechanical knowledge and the ability to complete all aspects of repair. Initiative and diligence will serve you well in this role, as well as a well-spoken communication style and superior customer service skills. Self-motivation and self-discipline are both essential due to the autonomous nature of this role.
